About Jamie

I'm Jamie Caskanette, and for over 20 years, I've dedicated my career to supporting children, youth, and young adults as they confront challenges like anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, and grief. My approach to therapy emphasizes the power of a therapeutic relationship built on authenticity, collaboration, and a safe, supportive environment. I believe in focusing on each client's strengths and resilience, guiding them towards tools and skills that manage life's challenges and lead to healthier, more adaptive habits for a fulfilling life.

I integrate a diverse array of therapeutic modalities into my practice, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I've received formal training in these techniques, ensuring a broad and effective toolkit to help clients navigate their journeys towards growth and healing. These modalities are the backbone of my approach, allowing me to tailor my support to each client's unique needs.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from King’s College at the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Windsor. I am Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), and member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW). This foundation, combined with my extensive clinical experience, shapes my practice and my commitment to facilitating meaningful change in people's lives.

Change is inevitable, but you don't have to face it alone. I'm here to help you figure out if I'm the right fit for your journey towards healing and growth. Currently, I am offering appointments exclusively through virtual means, ensuring you can access support regardless of your location. Let's take the first step together.
